Who I am
I'm a Nigerian-American gymnast and software engineer — and the first person to ever represent Nigeria in gymnastics at the Olympics, in Tokyo. I was born in Gaithersburg, Maryland to a Nigerian father and an American mother, and I've been doing gymnastics since I was three years old. I competed for the University of Michigan, earned a bachelor's in Computer Science Engineering, then stayed on for a Master's in Information Science — finished that one with a 4.0, which honestly means as much to me as anything I've done on a pommel horse.
Why traveling fits me
Long before I filmed a single vlog, I was living out of a suitcase. Gymnastics took me to World Championships, the African Games, and eventually Tokyo for the Olympics — plus a couple of trips a year back to Nigeria, my father's home country, for as long as I can remember. Packing fast, adjusting to a new time zone, figuring out a city I'd just landed in — none of that was ever a special occasion for me, it was just how competition season worked. These days I work remotely as a software engineer, so nothing ties me to one city anymore. The competition circuit is what taught me how to travel; now I get to do it on my own terms, camera in hand instead of a competition bag.
Why I travel
Growing up between two countries made me curious about everywhere else I hadn't been yet. Every competition trip was also a chance to actually see where I'd landed, not just fly in for a routine and fly back out. That instinct never left — every trip now is about finding what's actually worth seeing in a place, not just checking a box.
